Removal of large solids such as rags, sticks, grit and grease with Bar Screen and Grease Traps
- Screening: A screen with uniform-sized apertures is used to eliminate bulky substances like plastic, fabric; etc. Maximum 10mm is typically utilized.
- Sedimentation: Gravity is used in a physical water treatment procedure to remove suspended materials from water.
- Grit Chamber: The wastewater that enters the grit chamber filters out the dense inorganic materials that have found their way into the sewers, including sand, gravel, and pieces of metal. Grit removal helps avoid operating issues and damage to pumps
- Clarification: Used for separation of solids from fluids.
