PORTABLE WATER PHARMA PROJECTS
Portable water is a drinking water but not suitable for general pharmaceutical use because of considerable amount of dissolved solids presents. Purified Water, Highly Purified Water, Water For Injection should be prepared from Portable Water as a minimum quality feed water.
Process
Chlorination : The first phase in the water purification process is chlorination, which uses a chlorination (NaOCl) dosing mechanism. Because it is a powerful oxidant, chlorine quickly kills harmful bacteria and viruses.
Filtration: Filtration is the oldest technique for purifying water, using filter material. The raw water features are used to determine the media, and the raw water analysis is an important factor. The Multi Grade Filter (MGF), sometimes known as Sand Filters, is primarily used to remove Total Suspended Solids (TSS). Potable Water is available at the MGF’s outlet.
Purposes
- To use as drinking water gardening & domestic applications
- Washing and the extraction of crude drugs.
- Preparation of products for external use.
